ON THE LOOSE (Top running back performances)

Zionsville’s Gage Bankert scampered 22 times for 244 yards with two scores in the Eagles’ 52-21 win over Michigan City.

Carson Johnson of Indianapolis Cathedral rambled 23 times for 232 yards with a touchdown for the Irish in their 52-13 win over New Albany.

Westfield’s Micah Hauser rambled 16 times for 171 yards with three touchdowns in the Shamrocks’ 48-19 win over Merrillville.

Lavarion Logan of Merrillville had 29 rushes for 169 yards with two scores for the Pirates against Westfield.

Adams Central’s Alex Currie ran six times for 161 yards with two touchdowns in the Flying Jets’ 42-7 win over North Judson.

Merrillville’s Justin Marshall recorded 10 carries for 148 yards with a touchdown against Westfield.

Kaleb LaBelle of Mount Vernon (Fortville) had 19 rushes for 148 yards with three touchdowns in the Marauders’ 42-28 win over Evansville Memorial.

North Judson’s Cheyennr Allen registered 15 carries for 135 yards with a touchdown for the Bluejays against Adams Central.

Center Grove’s Daniel Weems ran 21 times for 113 yards with two scores in the Trojans’ 45-6 win over Indianapolis Ben Davis.

Tri’s Gary Paul raced eight times for 106 yards with a score in the Titans’ 56-13 loss to Indianapolis Lutheran.

PASSING GRADES (Top quarterback performances)

Gibson Southern’s Brady Allen went 28-of-44 for 385 yards with three touchdowns and ran five times for 11 yards and another score in the Titans’ 44-7 win over Tri-West.

Michigan City’s Tyler Bush was 18-of-34 for 322 yards and three touchdowns for the Wolves against Zionsville.

Brebeuf Jesuit’s Nolan Buckman went 25-of-38 for 297 yards and rushed 15 times for 49 yards in the Braves’ 17-16 win over Mishawaka Marian.

Indianapolis Ben Davis’ J’Uan Swanson went 23-of-49 for 232 yards with a touchdown and ran six times for 27 yards for the Giants against Center Grove.

Gehrig Slunaker of Mount Vernon (Fortville) completed 17-of-25 for 214 yards with a touchdown against Evansville Memorial.

Derell Simmons of New Albany was 12-of-28 for 196 yards with two scores for the Bulldogs against Indianapolis Cathedral.

Andrean’s Scott Ballentine went 13-of-18 for 176 yards with a touchdown and rushed 10 times for 51 yards with another score in the 59ers’ 17-14 win over Eastside.

Along with going 6-of-7 for 162 yards with three touchdowns, Montasi Clay of Indianapolis Lutheran ran 13 times for 194 yards and three scores for the Saints against Tri.

Evansville Mater Dei’s Mason Wunderlich went 12-of-23 for 160 yards with three touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 23-7 win over Indianapolis Scecina.

Christian Abney of Zionsville was 6-of-11 for 153 yards with three touchdowns and ran seven times for 72 yards and another score against Michigan City.

Bryce LaSane of Mishawaka Marian finished 13-of-27 for 146 yards with a touchdown for the Knights against Brebeuf Jesuit.

In addition to being 13-of-20 for 138 yards with a score, Eastside’s Laban Davis ran 20 times for 43 yards for the Blazers against Andrean.

Evansville Memorial’s Caleb Ellsperman went 12-of-28 for 134 yards with two touchdowns and ran for a third tally for the Tigers against Mount Vernon (Fortville).

Danny O’Neil of Indianapolis Cathedral was 11-of-16 for 132 yards with two scores and ran for two touchdowns against New Albany.

Along with going 3-of-8 for 69 yards, Tayven Jackson of Center Grove had eight rushes for 104 yards with a score against Ben Davis.

WHAT A CATCH (Top receiving performances)

Michigan City’s Omarion Hatch registered eight receptions for 229 yards with a touchdown against Zionsville.

Rory Heltsley of Gibson Southern came up with 15 catches for 219 yards with a score against Tri-West.

Brebeuf Jesuit’s Max Walters caught nine passes for 122 yards with a touchdown against Mishawaka Marian.

Ashden Gentry of Mount Vernon (Fortville) had eight catches for 114 yards with a score against Evansville Memorial.

Brady Simmons of Indianapolis Ben Davis hauled in eight passes for 108 yards against Center Grove.

Andrean’s Robby Ballentine caught four passes for 108 yards with a score against Eastside.

Northridge’s Jethro Hochstetler tallied three receptions for 106 with a touchdown in the Raiders’ 20-14 win over New Prairie.

New Albany’s Dejon Winburn recorded four catches for 100 yards with a score against Indianapolis Cathedral.

SPECIAL PERFORMERS (Top all-around performances on offense, defense, and special teams)

In addition to going 5-of-13 for 121 yards with a touchdown, Northridge’s Tagg Gott ran 27 times for 115 yards with a score also recorded an interception against New Prairie.

Gibson Southern’s Noah Bryant came up with a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown against Tri-West.

Indianapolis Scecina’s David Mendez recorded a pair of interceptions for the Crusaders against Evansville Mater Dei.

Avery Williams of Mount Vernon (Fortville) had an 85-yard interception return for a score against Evansville Memorial.

Jackson Griffin of Center Grove returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown against Ben Davis.
