Taylor Drops Rematch with No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan

MARION, Ind. – Taylor headed across county on Wednesday evening for its second meeting with Indiana Wesleyan in five days. Not much went TU’s way in the rematch, as the hosts rolled to a 109-44 victory.

Taylor shot just 32.7 percent in the game, while turning the ball over 25 times and had trouble slowing IWU (12-0, 5-0 CL) on the other end. The Wildcats shot 66.7 percent in the game, going 16-of-30 from deep and making 20-of-21 shots from two-point range over the final 20 minutes.

Grant Niehaus sank four-of-seven shots off the bench for a career-high 10 points to lead Taylor in the scoring column and Vincent Miranda grabbed a team-leading six rebounds.

Taylor (4-5, 2-3 CL) is slated to return to action on Monday, December 14, with a 5:00 pm start at Rio Grande (4-3).
