Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin Earn Weekly Men’s Soccer Awards
Wolverines’ Kevin Buca, Nittany Lions’ Peter Mangione, and Badgers’ Zach Klancnik collect weekly honors

Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Kevin Buca, Michigan
F – Sr. – Rochester, Mich. – Stoney Creek

  • Scored all three goals in Michigan’s 3-1 victory over Northwestern
  • Recorded the first hat trick for the Wolverines since 2015
  • Has a team-high nine points with four goals and one assist
  • Has at least one point in three of the last four matches
  • Earns his first career Offensive Player of the Week award

Peter Mangione, Penn State

  • Scored three goals, including the game-winning goal, against Villanova in a 4-0 victory
  • Had a career day that included his first career hat trick and the first hat trick for the Nittany Lions since 2010
  • Has a team-high five goals on the season
  • Is now one goal shy of his single-season career high of six
  • Claims his second career Offensive Player of the Week award and first of the season

Defensive Player of the Week
Zach Klancnik, Wisconsin
D – Sr. – Arlington Heights, Illinois – Rolling Meadows

  • The team captain finished the week with one game-winning goal and an assist in Wisconsin’s perfect 2-0 week
  • His assist came in the Badgers’ 2-0 win over Milwaukee on Tuesday, and he scored the game-winning goal in the 42nd minute in Friday night’s win over previously unbeaten Rutgers
  • He also helped UW secure two shutouts over the week, increasing the program’s season total to five, while holding the two teams to seven shots, including just two to Rutgers
  • Ranks second on the Badgers with five points on a goal and three assists
  • Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week award
