GOSHEN, Ind. — The Goshen College athletic department and head softball coach Juliaclare Plezbert announced the addition of catcher and infielder Miranda Hipolito to its 2020 recruiting class on Monday.
A product of Ontario, California, Hipolito was the starting third baseman and also caught for Diamond Ranch High School. She played club ball for the So Cal Ruthless Bustos team, where she was the starting catcher and also played second and third bases, batting .454 along the way.
The daughter of Christina and Leo Hipolito, Miranda plans to study psychology at GC. Her siblings are Zoey and Emma Hipolito. Two fun facts about Miranda are that she loves all things Disney and she loves all things athletic, including snowboarding and dirt bike riding.
“Goshen College is my first choice,” said Miranda Hipolito. “I cannot wait to excel on and off the field with new girls and outstanding coaches while keeping the family name running through the program.”
Meet the Maple Leafs will continue throughout the summer.
