Judson earns its first-ever MSFA Player of the Week award, while a pair of familiar names pick up the Midwest League’s weekly honors for Week 5.

Offensive Player of the Week
Brandon Mackey, Judson
So., RB, McRae, Ga. (Wheeler County HS)

  • Rushed for 194 yards on 27 carries in the Eagles’ 31-9 win over Madonna
  • Scored a TD on a 99-yard drive to give Judson the first-quarter lead
  • Earns Judson’s first MSFA Player of the Week award in program history

Defensive Player of the Week
Joey Markasovic, Saint Xavier
Sr., LB, New Lenox, Ill. (Providence Catholic HS)

  • Made a career-high 16 tackles in Saint Xavier’s upset win over No. 16 Saint Francis (Ind.)
  • Reached 300 career tackles in the 25-20 win over the Cougars
  • Earns his fourth career MSFA Defensive Player of the Week honor, and his first since the 2019 season

Special Teams Player of the Week
Scott Tumilty, St. Francis
Jr., PR/KR, Villa Park, Ill. (Willowbrook HS)

  • Returned a kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown in the Saints’ win over Siena Heights
  • His kick return TD gave St. Francis the 19-14 lead en route to the win
  • Earns his fifth career MSFA Player of the Week award, and his third career Special Teams honor
