Merrillville (10-1): Lavarion Logan rambled 42 times for 187 yards and three scores in the No. 7 (Class 6A) Pirates’ 27-24 win over No. 5 Elkhart.

Valparaiso (8-0): Tommy Burbee scampered 24 times for 203 yards with three touchdowns and returned a kickoff 88 yards for another score in the No. 3 (Class 5A) Vikings’ 35-14 win over No. 9 Mishawaka

Elkhart (9-1): Cameron Wiltfong had a one-yard touchdown run in the No. 5 (Class 6A) Lions’ 14-10 win over Chesterton.

Mishawaka (7-4): Davonn Parker’s 95-yard kickoff return for a score was not enough for the Cavemen against Valparaiso.

Winamac (7-3): Hayden Clark ran 21 times for 77 yards with a score in the Warriors’ 37-32 loss to defending Class 1A state champion Lafayette Central Catholic.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (11-1) at Marian (11-0) (Class 3A semistate final): The top-ranked and defending state champion Trojans are going for their second straight semistate championship, while Marian has never won a semistate contest.

Westfield (11-1) at Merrillville (10-1) (Class 6A semistate final): The Shamrocks are looking for their first semistate title since 2016, while Merrillville is going for its first semiistate crown.

Valparaiso (8-0) at Zionsville (6-5) (Class 5A semistate final): The Vikings are trying for back-to-back semistate championships, while Zionsville’s last semistate title came in 2000.
