CHICAGO, Ill. – After leading IU South Bend to a 103-58 victory over Governors State seven days ago, junior guard Maddie Gard was named the CCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Gard led the Titans (7-3, 2-2 CCAC) with a game-high 23 points in the win over the Jaguars, in the only game for IUSB before the Thanksgiving break. The Oak Creek, Wisc. Native shot 9-for-12 from the floor, pulled down four rebounds, and dealt out four assists in the win.
The junior earns her first career CCAC Player of the Week award, and the program’s first since 2014. The Titans return to the court after the holiday break on Saturday, when they travel to Trinity Christian. Tipoff with the Trolls in a CCAC matchup is set for 2:00 p.m. ET.
