Isabelle North Named Crossroads League Defender of the Week

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League announced the League Athlete of the Week Award winners for the week of September 21-27. Isabelle North took home the honor of League Defender of the Week, the second straight week a Pilot has earned the honor after Maddy Payne held the title last week.

The freshman from Hoagland, Indiana piled up 17 blocks to go with 22 kills in a pair of Bethel victories. The freshman middle blocker was a force at the net in each contest and set a BU program record with 13 blocks in a five-set thriller over Grace.

It is the third Crossroads League Athlete of the Week honor for the Pilots in 2020-21 and the first weekly accolade for the middle blocker. Sports Information Directors from the league nominate student-athletes for the award and vote on each week’s winners.
