Iowa and Michigan State Earn Big Ten Weekly Women’s Basketball Awards
Hawkeyes’ Clark and Spartans’ Ekh are this week’s conference honorees

Player of the Week
Caitlin Clark, Iowa
So. – G – West Des Moines, Iowa – Dowling Catholic – Major: Business
• Nearly averaged a triple-double for the second week in a row, registering 26.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game with a .579 field-goal percentage and .545 three-point percentage in Iowa’s wins over Minnesota and Illinois
• Set Big Ten records with both her fourth triple-double of the season and second in a row Jan. 20 at Minnesota with 35 points (14-21 FG, 4-6 3FG), a career-high tying 13 rebounds and 11 assists
• Was also her second consecutive 30-point triple-double, a first in NCAA Division I women’s or men’s basketball history, and making her one of only seven basketball players (NBA, WNBA or NCAA) to pull off that feat since 2000 (the other six were NBA players Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo)
• Added 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in Sunday’s win over Illinois
• Earns her 10th career Big Ten Player of the Week award (sixth-most in conference history) and fifth this season, as well as her fourth in a row (one short of the Big Ten record of five consecutive Player of the Week awards by Iowa’s Megan Gustafson from Jan. 21-Feb. 18, 2019)

Big Ten Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
Naz Hillmon, Sr., F, MICH: Picked up her seventh double-double of the season on Jan. 20 in a win over Wisconsin with 21 points (8-13 FG) and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes
Nia Clouden, Sr., G, MSU: Scored 25 points (14 in the fourth quarter) and added five rebounds and five assists Sunday afternoon in the Spartans’ win over Minnesota
Taylor Mikesell, Sr., G, OSU: Averaged 27.0 ppg. with a .692 field-goal percentage and .615 three-point percentage in OSU’s two wins last week, including a career-high 33 points (11-13 FG, 5-5 3FG) on Jan. 20 in the Buckeyes’ win over No. 12/11 Maryland

Freshman of the Week
Matilda Ekh, Michigan State
G/F – Vasteras, Sweden – Riksbasketgymnasiet Lulea – Major: Business
• Tallied 23 points, a career-high six assists and five rebounds in Michigan State’s win over Minnesota on Sunday afternoon in East Lansing, Mich.
• Connected on 5-of-9 three-pointers and made 3-of-4 free throws in the final minute to help seal the victory
• Registered her third 20-point game of the season and second in MSU’s last three games (career-high 27 points at Ohio State on Jan. 12)
• Collects her second Big Ten Freshman of the Week award
