GULF SHORES, Ala. – [RESULTS] Indiana Tech was crowned the 2021 NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Champions after three days of competition at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Complex in Gulf Shores, Ala.

  • For the second consecutive championship, Bailey Cossentine of William Jessup (Calif.) won the marathon. Cossentine beat her time from 2019 by a little over two minutes with a time of 3:05:20.
  • Becca Richtman won the first national title in the 3000m steeplechase for Montana Tech with a time of 10:51.74.
  • Janae Moffitt of Indiana Wesleyan won the high jump with a mark of 1.73. Moffitt continued a family legacy in the NAIA outdoor meet as her mother and brother were also champions in the same event.

  • LaVon Davis of Grand View (Iowa) captured her third All-American mention. This year with a first-place finish in the discus with a mark of 49.73.
  • William Carey (Miss.) with a team of Brittany Jones, Fredricka McKenzie, Jasmine Williams and Aniekeme Etim won the 4x100m relay with a time of 45.51.
  • Emma Wilson of Huntington (Ind.) won the 1500m run with a time of 4:28.60.
  • Leondra Correia won the first national title in the 100m hurdle for Indiana Tech with a time of 13.67.
  • Aniekeme Etim of William Carey (Miss.) repeated as the 100m dash champion with a time of 11.44.
  • Jakarri Alven won the first national title in the 400m for Aquinas (Mich.) after posting a final time of 55.29.
  • Emma Mott won the first national title in the 800m run for Bethel (Ind.) after recording a time of 2:09.53.
  • Jaqual Bush of Southeastern (Fla.) beat the defending national champion in the 200m dash by .07 second with a final time of 23.50. This is the first national title in this event for Southeastern (Fla.)
  • Emily Kearney of Milligan (Tenn.) won her second individual title and broke another record in the 5000m run with a time of 16:09.11.
  • Wayland Baptist (Texas) with a team of Argyanna Bolton, Safia Bright, Raheema Westfall and Coshan Campbell won the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:42.76.
  • Indiana Tech was named the 2021 champion with a total of 84 points. The Warriors scored in the 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, 100m, 200m, 400m, 100m hurdles, long jump, triple jump, 5000m race walk and the heptathlon.
  • Emily Kearney of Milligan (Tenn.) was named the outstanding performer after breaking two records in the 10,000m and 5000m.
  • Aniekeme Etim of William Carey (Miss.) was named the most valuable performer after winning the 100m and 4x100m relay as well as a second-place finish in the 200m.
