HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that Huntington University freshman Shelby Christman has been tabbed the National Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the national office earlier this afternoon.

Christman dominated the IWU Twilight Invitational Friday night by clocking in at 17:36 to claim the individual title in her first 5K in Forester green and white. The Fort Wayne native crossed the line 15 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor to cruise to the win out of 179 runners.
