Notre Dame, Ind.  The Holy Cross College women’s basketball returned from Christmas break to host Goshen College in a non-conference matchup. After a slow start, the Saints trailed 13-11 after the first quarter. Holy Cross would battle back and take a 29-23 lead with 5 minutes to play in the first half. After a Goshen run late, Holy Cross trailed 36-35 entering halftime. It was a back and forth battle in the second half with both teams making small runs. The Saints were down by two with 11 seconds to play, but failed to come up with a basket as they fell 71-69.
