Grace unveils 2021 inductees for Lancer Hall of Fame
WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Grace College Athletic Department will induct three members into the Lancer Hall of Fame on Saturday: Andy Bonham, Max Anders and Jessica Muneza (Stolle).
The 2021 induction class is Grace’s 13th class. The group will be honored at the annual Hall of Fame Breakfast on Saturday at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
“It’s exciting to honor Grace’s rich athletic history,” said Grace Director of Athletics Chad Briscoe. “This is an accomplished group of people who have added much to Grace Athletics. They deserve to be recognized for their contributions to our institution.”
Bonham was an accomplished men’s soccer player who starred at Grace from 1979-83. He was a four-time All-Conference and three-time NAIA All-District honoree. He was named NCCAA First Team All-American in 1981 and 1982 and was NCCAA Second Team All-American in 1980.
Anders was a track and field standout from 1967-70. He earned four All-Conference honors during his four-year career. He held Grace’s high jump record for 46 years before it was finally broken in recent years. It was the longest-standing record in school history, lasting from 1970 until 2016.
Muneza is one of the top women’s tennis players in Grace history. She played for the Lady Lancers from 2007-11. She ended her career ranked No. 1 in most singles wins and most overall wins in a career as well as best singles winning percentage and overall winning percentage in a career. She posted a perfect 15-0 record as a freshman in 2007, winning the conference championship and securing the best individual season in team history.
“We want to thank those individuals who have brought much distinction and honor to Grace College and have established a tradition of Christian excellence which is incomparable,” Briscoe continued. “These achievements have touched everyone associated with Grace College both in and out of the arena of athletics.”
