Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | Nov. 23-29
AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the top athletes from November 23 through 29. Sports Information Directors from the league nominate student-athletes for the award and vote on each week’s winners.
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Lauren James, Taylor
James highlighted Taylor’s 80-62 win at Goshen by pouring in 32 points and adding six rebounds, five assists and one steal. The junior guard shot 12-of-18 overall, with five makes from deep in nine looks.
Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Seth Maxwell, Indiana Wesleyan
Maxwell came up one block shy of a triple-double in No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan’s 95-92 win at Bethel, as the junior finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds, nine blocks and two assists. Maxwell shot eight-of-14 from the field and sank seven-of-eight free throws in the win.
