Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | Dec. 14-20

 

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the top athletes from December 14 through 20. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the award and vote on each week’s winners.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Taylor Gregory, Mount Vernon Nazarene
Gregory scored at least 20 points in two games and posted a double-double in a third contest, netting 21.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per week over a trio of games for the Cougars. Gregory shot 58.3 percent from the field over the three games, helping MVNU to two wins.

 

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Nathan Aerts, Bethel
Aerts turned in the finest outing of his collegiate career in Bethel’s, 117-98, win at Florida National. The sophomore forward finished with personal-bests of 26 points and 18 rebounds in the win, hitting 10-of-17 field goals in the contest.
