• Illinois junior center Kofi Cockburn was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday. Cockburn scored 25 points to go along with 14 rebounds, two steals, and an assist in an 88-63 win over Missouri for the annual Braggin’ Rights trophy.

• Michigan State guard Max Christie was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Christie scored 17 points and added four rebounds, an assist, and a block in a 90-78 win over Oakland.
