KARHAYU NAMED NCCAA NATIONAL STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced the National Student-Athlete of the Week Award winners for the week of September 20-26. Esther Karhayu earned the honor of NCCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive National Student-Athlete of the Week.
Esther Karhayu came off the bench to record her first career hat-trick, including the game-winning goal of a 3-2 overtime win against Cornerstone University. It was the program’s first hat-trick in over eight seasons.
It is the fifth NCCAA National Student-Athlete of the Week honor for the Pilots in 2021-22 and the first weekly accolade for the junior from Mombassa, Kenya. Each student-athlete has been nominated by his/her respective institution and exemplifies the Christian ideals held by the NCCAA.
