East Chicago, Ind. The Holy Cross College men’s soccer team took on Calumet College of St. Joseph in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup on the road this evening. Axel Valenzuela gave the Saints a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute, but the Crimson Wave tied it 1-1 in the 30th minute. Another goal by Axel Valenzuela in the 39th minute, gave Holy Cross a 2-1 lead heading into halftime. Elmin Ejup extended the Saints lead with a goal of his own in the 56th minute and that goal would stand as the Saints would go on to win 3-1. With the win, Holy Cross improves 7-5-1 overall and 5-5 in league play, while CCSJ falls to 1-10 and 0-10.
