Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women’s soccer team hosted Lourdes University this afternoon at Saints Field in their last non-conference matchup of the season. Leading into the match, the Saints held a 0-1 career record versus the Gray Wolves. Lauren Cernak, off a pass from Olivia Shaw, connected on a goal to give the Saints a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. That score remained the same through half. In the second half, Lourdes was able to score to tie the match up 1-1 in the 81st minute. The game would enter the first over time still knotted up 1-1. A heavy offensive presence for both teams in the first OT, but neither team came away with any goals. A similar script in the second OT, and the game finished in a 1-1 tied. With the tie, Holy Cross stands at 3-1-1, while Lourdes moves to 1-0-2.
