Penn’s Kingsmen turned back a late charge by the Munster Mustangs to score a 53-47 victory in high school Boys Basketball Regional action at Michigan City on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
The Kingsmen advance to the Regional Championship. No. 6 Penn (24-2) plays No. 1 Chesterton (27-0) at 8 p.m. ET, Saturday, March 12, 2022.
Penn All-State candidate Markus Burton (6-foot-0 Junior Point Guard) scored 26 points to power Penn to the Regional Championship Game. Burton also dished out five assists.
Junior sharpshooter Joey Garwood connected for 10 points, and Sophomore Dominic Bonner scored five points.
