Spartans’ Bishop, Gophers’ Samedy and Nittany Lions’ Blossom and Hampton earn this week’s conference honors
Player of the Week
Stephanie Samedy, Minnesota
Grad. – OPP – Clermont, Fla. – East Ridge – Major: Psychology
• Registered 4.86 kills and 4.29 digs per set with a double-double and a .310 hitting percentage to pace the Gophers to road wins at No. 7 Ohio State and No. 25 Illinois last week
• Collected 19 kills, 22 digs and a season-high seven blocks in Nov. 4 win at OSU
• Added 15 kills on a .400 percentage with eight digs and two aces on Nov. 6 at Illinois
• Academic All-Big Ten selection and Senior CLASS Award recipient last season
• Earns her 12th career Player of the Week honor (tying for second-most in Big Ten history with Penn State’s Haleigh Washington from 2014-17) and fourth this season, along with one Defensive Player of the Week citation

• Delivered 12.33 assists and 2.22 digs per set with a double-double last week as Penn State claimed a pair of Big Ten wins over Michigan and Michigan State
• Recorded her 11th double-double in the past 13 matches on Nov. 6 against MSU with 57 assists and 13 digs
• Twice chosen for Academic All-Big Ten honors (2019, 2020)
• Collects her sixth career Setter of the Week plaudit and third this season

• Averaged 7.89 assists and 3.0 digs per set with two double-doubles last week as Michigan State split its conference road trip to Rutgers (win) and Penn State (loss)
• Sparked MSU to the brink of a five-set victory on Nov. 6 at PSU, finishing with 51 assists, 16 digs, three blocks and five kills
• Played in a 6-2 system one night earlier at Rutgers, posting 20 assists and 11 digs in a four-set win
• Garners her first career Freshman of the Week award
