Michigan Clinches Big Ten Conference Men’s Basketball Title

Wolverines win 15th title in program history

Rosemont, Ill. – The University of Michigan men’s basketball team clinched the 2020-21 Big Ten Conference men’s basketball title Thursday with a 69-50 home win against Michigan State. This marks Michigan’s 15th Big Ten men’s basketball title and its first since the 2013-2014 season.

 

Michigan currently ranks second in the Associated Press Top-25 poll and the USA TODAY coaches poll. The Wolverines will conclude the regular season on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. (ET) when they take on Michigan State in a nationally-televised contest on CBS.

 

The 2021 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will be held March 10-14 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
