Elkhart (2-1, 1-0 NIC) at Riley (1-2, 0-1 NIC) (Jackson Field): The Wildcats suffered a 39-22 loss to Elkhart last season. Brayden Barkham completed 4-of-6 for 105 yards with three touchdowns in the Lions’ 62-0 win over Washington. Ayden Monroe totaled three rushes for 21 yards in Riley’s 49-0 loss to Penn. Matt’s pick: Elkhart 33, Riley 30.
New Prairie (0-3, 0-1 NIC) at Adams (2-1, 1-0 NIC) (Everwise School Field): The Eagles escaped with a 35-34 win over New Prairie a year ago. Kaden Ryans ran 16 times for 56 yards in the Cougars’ 46-0 loss to Saint Joseph. Cayden Keen was 7-of-11 for 89 yards with a touchdown and ran 11 times for 92 yards with another score in Adams’ 41-0 win over Marian. Matt’s pick: Adams 35, New Prairie 12.
Saint Joseph (3-0, 1-0 NIC) at Marian (1-2, 0-1 NIC): The No. 5 (Class 4A) Huskies blanked Marian, 31-0, last year. Connor Gallagher scampered 47 yards for score for Saint Joseph against New Prairie. Washington (0-3, 0-1 NIC) at Penn (3-0, 1-0 NIC): The No. 6 (Class 6A) Kingsmen claimed a 62-0 win against Washington a season ago. Kerrington Lee ran three yards for a score in the RedHawks’ 55-10 loss to Northridge. Jaron Allen caught four passes for 79 yards with a touchdown and carried the ball once for 11 yards in Concord’s 48-10 win at Wawasee. Matt’s pick: Concord 43, Goshen 14.
Mishawaka (2-1, 1-0 NLC) at Warsaw (3-0, 1-0 NLC): The No. 4 (Class 5A) Tigers are looking to make amends for a 42-21 loss to No. 10 (Class 4A) Mishawaka a season ago. Amir Dean had a 24-yard touchdown catch as well as the game-saving tackle in the Cavemen’s 20-13 win over Plymouth. Brady Sauer accounted for 64 yards on the ground in Warsaw’s 28-22 win over NorthWood. Matt’s pick: Mishawaka 26, Warsaw 23.

Hunter Boyd went 7-of-8 for 144 yards in Chesterton’s 28-7 win over Michigan City. Enrique Gonzalez converted a 23-yard field goal in the Slicers’ 39-3 loss to Valparaiso.
