Bethany Christian (9-11) at Jimtown (7-12): The Bruins claimed a 57-49 win over Jimtown last year. Tyson Chupp recorded 23 points in Bethany Christian’s 48-36 win over Lakewood Park Christian. Hunter Konrath recorded seven points in the Jimmies’ 66-62 loss to Northridge. Matt’s pick: Jimtown 47, Bethany Christian 44.
Bremen (10-8, 4-5 NIC) at Saint Joseph (10-8, 6-3 NIC): The Indians cruised to a 76-29 win over Bremen a year ago. Carson Miller came up with 19 points in the Lions’ 74-38 loss to Marian. Cole Hatkevich netted 16 points for Saint Joseph in its 73-62 win over Clay. Matt’s pick: Saint Joseph 69, Bremen 58.
Clay (5-14) at Concord (8-9): The Minutemen posted a 58-49 win against Clay last season. Ameer Harris poured in 28 points for the Colonials against Saint Joseph. Zaven Koltookian had 14 points in Concord’s 54-43 loss to Northridge. Matt’s pick: Concord 64, Clay 54.
Culver Academy (11-6) at Riley (10-9): The Wildcats went to overtime to post a 51-45 win over Culver Academy in their previous meeting. Elkhart (5-14, 3-6 NIC) at New Prairie (5-13, 0-8 NIC): The Cougars clawed their way to a 60-50 win over Elkhart a season ago. Erick Nocentelli managed 10 points in the Lions’ 46-35 loss to Northridge. Gavin Gonzalez netted six points in New Prairie’s 81-19 loss to Marian. Matt’s pick: Elkhart 51, New Prairie 44.
Glenn (18-1) at Knox (4-12): The No. 3 (Class 3A) Falcons soared to a 71-38 win over Knox last season. Jack Porter racked up 13 points for Glenn in its 70-63 win against Jimtown. Cohen Watson came up with 16 points in the Redskins’ 58-50 loss to Marquette Catholic. Matt’s pick: Glenn 63, Knox 44.
Lakeland (5-14) at Northridge (10-9): The Raiders went to overtime to escape with a 65-62 win over Lakeland last year. Owen Troyer ended with four points in the Lakers’ 82-37 loss to No. 1 (Class 2A) Central Noble. Malachi Campbell netted 12 points for Northridge against Elkhart. LaPorte (10-9) at Goshen (11-6): The Slicers slipped past Goshen, 54-53, during the 2020-21 season. Kyle Kirkham poured in a career-high 30 points in LaPorte’s 67-66 win over Merrillville. Quinn Bechtel managed eight points in the RedHawks’ 50-40 win at Wawasee. Matt’s pick: Goshen 62, LaPorte 59.
Mishawaka (11-6) at Adams (7-12): The Eagles eliminated Mishawaka from the 2021 Class 4A Michigan City sectional with a 68-60 triumph. Cooper Pritchett scored four points for the Cavemen in their 49-42 loss to NorthWood. Rashad Simpson mustered eight points in Adams’ 58-52 win over Andrean. Matt’s pick: Mishawaka 68. Adams 65.
NorthWood (19-1) at Tippecanoe Valley (12-6): The top-ranked (Class 3A) Panthers clawed their way to a 76-39 win over Tippecanoe Valley a year ago. NiTareon Tuggle had five points for NorthWood against Mishawaka. Tayde Kiser scored 30 points in the Vikings’ 63-58 win over Wabash. Matt’s pick: NorthWood 71, Tippecanoe Valley 64.
