Joliet, Ill. The Holy Cross women’s basketball returned to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play when they traveled to the University of St. Francis this evening. Holy Cross found themselves down 25-15 after the first ten minutes of action. St Francis would extend their lead in the second quarter, as the Saints would trail 43-27 at half. A comeback to start the third quarter would cut into the St. Francis lead to 56-41 entering the final quarter of action. Two minutes into the fourth quarter, the Saints would go on a 10-0 run and cut the lead to 85-51 with just over four minutes remaining. St Francis would respond with a run of their own late to had Holy Cross the 69-58 defeat.With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 13-13 overall and 8-11 in league play, while USF improves to 21-6 and 18-2.
