FINAL FOUR BOUND

Andrean (10-3): Drayk Bowen scampered for 97 yards with three touchdowns and returned an interception 25 yards for another tally in the No. 8 59ers’ 35-8 win over LaVille in the Class 2A regional final.

Marian (10-3): Brady Hoskins snatched a pair of interceptions and caught a 20-yard touchdown pass in the Knights’ 33-6 win at Hanover Central in the Class 3A regional finale.

Merrillville (12-0): Justin Marshall hauled in nine passes for 160 yards with two touchdowns and ran four times for 40 yards and another score in the No. 3 Pirates’ 39-7 win over Penn in the Class 6A regional final.

Michigan City (9-3): Andrew Oleksiuk booted four extra-points and the game-winning 18-yard field goal in the No. 10 Wolves’ 31-28 double-overtime win over No. 4 Valparaiso for the Class 5A regional championship.

New Prairie (11-2): Marshall Kmiecik completed both of his passes for 68 yards with a touchdown and ran 29 times for 185 yards and two scores in the Cougars’ 28-14 win at Lowell for the Class 4A regional crown.

North Judson (9-3): Cheyenne Allen rambled 26 times for 198 yards and two touchdowns in the Bluejays’ 35-6 win over Carroll (Flora) in the Class 1A regional finale.

Northridge (9-4): Ridge Howard came up with 15 carries for 36 yards with a score in the Raiders’ 25-7 win over Mississinewa for the Class 4A regional title.

PACKING AWAY THE GEAR

LaVille (9-3): Lucas Plummer tossed for 48 yards and a touchdown for the Lancers against Andrean.

Penn (6-6): Jake Balis ran 13 times for 42 yards with a score for the Kingsmen against Merrillville.

Valparaiso (10-2): Hayden Vinyard closed out his high school career with 17 carries for 43 yards with a touchdown for the Vikings against Michigan City.

NEXT UP

Merrillville (12-0) at Westfield (11-1) (Class 6A semistate final): The Pirates are looking for their first trip to the state finals since 1976, while No. 2 Westfield was state runner-up a year ago.

Zionsville (8-5) at Michigan City (9-3) (Class 5A semistate final): The Eagles are going for their second straight semistate crown, while Michigan City has never won a semistate title.

Northridge (9-4) at New Prairie (11-2) (Class 4A semistate final): The Raiders are in the final four for the first time since 2014, while New Prairie made it to the state title game in 2014.

Brebeuf Jesuit (11-2) at Marian (11-2) (Class 3A semistate final): The No. 3 Braves were state runner-up in 2013 and 2017, while Marian is in the semistate for the third year in a row.

Andrean (10-3) at Eastside (13-0) (Class 2A semistate final): The 59ers have made it to the semistate for the first time since 2019, while No. 4 Eastside is making its first appearance in the final four.

Adams Central (12-1) at North Judson (9-3) (Class 1A semistate final): The No. 3 Flying Jets are in the semistate for the first time since 2019, while North Judson has advanced to the final four for the first time since 2002.
