KANSAS CITY, Mo. – IU South Bend Women’s Basketball is playing into March for the first time since 2005.
The Titans discovered their NAIA Opening Round destination on Thursday night, as the NAIA revealed the field of 64 teams for the 2022 NAIA Women’s Basketball National Tournament. IUSB earned a 14-seed, and will face 3-seeded Indiana Wesleyan on the Wildcats’ home court in Marion, Ind.
Finishing third in the CCAC during the regular season, the Titans (25-7) earned an automatic bid to the national tournament, earning a berth for the first time in 17 years.
Indiana Wesleyan finished the regular season with a 28-4 record, finishing second in the Crossroads League regular season and claiming the conference’s tournament title.
The first round matchup is scheduled for Friday, March 11, with the game time still to be announced.
