Iowa, Michigan and Nebraska Earn Big Ten Weekly Women’s Basketball Awards
Hawkeyes’ Clark, Wolverines’ Phelia and Huskers’ Markowski named as this week’s honorees
Player of the Week
Caitlin Clark, Iowa
So. – G – West Des Moines, Iowa – Dowling Catholic – Major: Business
• Averaged 38.7 points, 9.3 assists and 6.3 rebounds with a .560 field-goal percentage, .452 three-point percentage, a triple-double and a double-double in Iowa’s three games last week
• Scored a career-high 46 points (25 in the fourth quarter) in Sunday’s loss at No. 6/5 Michigan, setting the Crisler Center women’s basketball single-game scoring record, while adding 10 assists
• Extended her conference record with her fifth triple-double of the season, which was also the sixth of her career (tying the Big Ten record held by Iowa’s Samantha Logic from 2011-15) on Feb. 3 at Wisconsin, finishing with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists
• Began her week with 43 points (16-28 FG, 7-14 3FG) and seven assists in a Jan. 31 loss against No. 23/19 Ohio State
• Earns her 11th career Big Ten Player of the Week award (sixth-most in conference history) and sixth this season (tied for third-most in Big Ten history), as well as her fifth in the past six weeks

Angel Reese, So., F/G, MD: Recorded 20.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in pacing the Terrapins to a pair of wins last week, highlighted by 15 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in Sunday’s victory over Nebraska
Naz Hillmon, Sr., F, MICH: Averaged 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in Michigan’s two Top 25 wins last week, including 26 points and 10 rebounds (her school record-tying 44th career double-double) in Sunday’s win over No. 21/24 Iowa
Veronica Burton, Sr., G, NU: Played key role in Northwestern’s two road wins last week with 24.0 points, 5.5 assists, 5.0 steals and 4.5 rebounds per game with a .576 field-goal percentage while moving to fourth on the Big Ten career steals list (362)

• Tallied 17.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game with a .538 field-goal percentage in Michigan’s two wins over ranked opponents last week
• Scored a career-high 24 points (9-16 FG) while adding four rebounds and a career-high three assists in Sunday’s win over No. 21/24 Iowa
• Contributed 11 points and four rebounds in the Wolverines’ Jan. 31 victory over No. 5/6 Indiana, Michigan’s second against a top-five opponent this season
