Iowa and Minnesota Claim Big Ten Weekly Women’s Basketball Honors
Hawkeyes’ Clark and Gophers’ Micheaux recognized for last week’s performances
Player of the Week
Caitlin Clark, Iowa
So. – G – West Des Moines, Iowa – Dowling Catholic – Major: Business
• Averaged 23.0 points, 10.0 assists and 9.5 rebounds per game last week, including her second triple-double of the season
• Scored a team-high 24 points in a victory over Michigan State and added 12 assists and 10 rebounds to register her third career triple-double
• Became the second Hawkeye in program history to record three or more triple-doubles in her career, joining Sam Logic, who had six career triple-doubles
• Earns her sixth career Big Ten Player of the Week award and first of the season

Big Ten Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
Kendall Bostic, So., F, ILL: Averaged 16.0 rebounds per contest, including 22 in a win against Eastern Kentucky, the third-most in a single game in Illinois program history and the most since 1980
Angel Reese, So., F, MD: Registered 22.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 70.8 percent from the floor, including a career-high 26 points and career-high 15 rebounds in the Terps’ win over Miami in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge
Veronica Burton, Sr., G, NU: Tallied 25.5 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds in Northwestern’s two wins last week, including a career-high 32 points on Dec. 2 vs. Clemson along with five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals

Alanna Micheaux, Minnesota

• Scored 23 points off the bench against North Carolina on 8-of-10 shooting, the most points by a non-starter for the Golden Gophers since Gadvia Hubbard scored 28 points off the bench against Maryland back in 2017
• Has helped the Gopher bench score 50 and 43 points in the last two games, scoring 29 of those points herself
• Improved her scoring average to 11.0 points per game over her last four contests
• Collects her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week award
