Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women’s soccer team hosted the University of St. Francis this afternoon in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. Holy Cross was outshot 8-7 in the first half, but nether team came away with any goals as the game entered halftime 0-0. Rachel Gomez gave the Saints a 1-0 lead with a goal scored in the 57th minute. Despite an aggressive attack by St. Francis, Holy Cross’s defense stood tall as they would come away with the 1-0 victory. With the win, Holy Cross stands at 6-2-1 and 3-1 in conference play, while St. Francis moves to 5-1 and 2-1.
