Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross women’s basketball team continued their non-conference stretch on the road this evening at St. Mary’s College. This was the second time in program history the Saints squared off against the Belles. After a slow start, Holy Cross found themselves down 6-0 to start the game but would battle back to take a 15-11 lead heading into the second quarter. The Saints outscored the Belles 23-20 in the second quarter to take the 38-31 halftime lead. The Belles would come back and time the game up 47-47 after the third quarter of action. The Saints would not trail in the final quarter as they would go on to win 70-55. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 5-5 overall and 2-4 in CCAC play while SMC stands at 2-7.
