Mishawaka, Ind.  The Holy Cross women’s basketball team began their 2021-2022 on the road this evening when they traveled to crosstown-foe Bethel University for a non-conference matchup. After a back and forth battle to begin, the Saints were down 18-16 entering the second quarter. Bethel was able to go on a run let in the second quarter to take a 44-34 lead heading into halftime. Holy Cross was outscored 54-40 in the third and fourth quarters as they would fall 98-74 to Bethel. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 0-1, while the Pilots begin the year 1-0.
