Notre Dame, Ind.  The Holy Cross women’s basketball team returned from Thanksgiving break and hosted Roosevelt University in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. After a tight back and forth action in the first quarter, the Saints held a 12-10 lead. Holy Cross would extend their lead in the second quarter as they would enter halftime up 30-20. Roosevelt came out strong in the third quarter and outscored the Saints 31-14 to take the 51-44 lead heading into the final quarter. The Saints ended the fourth quarter on a 12-0 run to tie the game up and push it into overtime knotted at 64-64. Jordyn Smith scored back-to-back threes to start the OT and Holy Cross would not look back as they would get he 79-74 OT victory over Roosevelt. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in CCAC play while RU stands at 3-6 and 2-4.
