Joliet, Ill. The Holy Cross women’s basketball traveled to Joliet, Illinois to take on the University of St. Francis in the first round of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference post season tournament. The Saints entered the game as the #7 seed and USF as the #6 seed. Holy Cross would come out strong to begin the game and take a 20-16 lead after the first team minutes of action. St. Francis would battle back as the game would enter halftime tied 29-29. A late jumper to end the third by Jayda Miller gave Holy Cross a 42-41 lead heading into the final quarter. The Saints would extend their lead to 48-45 early in the fourth quarter, but USF would go on a scoring streak late to hand the Saints a 71-55 defeat. With the loss, Holy Cross finishes the year at 15-15, while USF improves to 24-6.
