Bourbonnais, Ill. The Holy Cross women’s basketball traveled to Olivet Nazarene University this afternoon for a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. The Saints jumped out to an early 10-3 lead midway through the first quarter and would control a 20-15 leading heading into the second quarter. Holy Cross would push the lead to 32-21 with fourth minutes remaining in the half and would take a 42-34 lead heading into halftime. Both teams would exchange points to start the third quarter, but ONU was 63-55 leading as the game would enter the final quarter. The Tigers pushed the lead to 87-68 before a late comeback by the Saints. The comeback would run out of time, as the Saints would fall 98-84. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 11-9 overall and 6-7 in league play, while ONU improves to 13-8 and 10-4.
