Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross women’s basketball team returned to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this evening when they hosted Trinity Christian College. After a slow start, the Saints found themselves down 7-2 five minutes into the game. Holy Cross would battle back to take a 19-14 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, Holy Cross extended their lead with the to 33-21 entering halftime. The Saints forced eight turnovers in the third quarter and would extend their lead to 48-33 entering the final quarter. The Trolls would fight back early in the fourth, but then the Saints would end the game on 5/5 shooting from the free throw line to secure the 77-55 victory. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 9-9 overall and 5-6 in league play, while Trinity Christian stands at 11-6 and 6-5.
