Playing under the lights in Chicago, neither team was able to score any goals in the first half, as the game would enter halftime 0-0. The Cougars were able to take a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute. St. Xavier scored another goal in the 78th minute and that goal would be the last in the match, as Holy Cross would fall by a score 2-0. With the loss, Holy Cross moves to 3-4-2 and 0-3-2 in CCAC play, while St. Xavier improves to 5-5 and 3-2.
