• Illinois sits atop the Big Ten standings with an 11-3 record in conference play. Purdue is right behind at 11-4, while Wisconsin follows with a 10-4 record.

• The Big Ten has a nation-leading five teams ranked in the top 20 of both the Associated Press and USA Today polls. Purdue leads the league at No. 5 in the AP poll and No. 7 in the USA Today poll, followed by No. 12/12 Illinois, No. 15/16 Wisconsin, No. 18/18 Ohio State and No. 19/19 Michigan State. Iowa and Rutgers are among the teams receiving votes.

• As of Feb. 13, the Big Ten has eight teams in the top 41 of the NCAA NET Rankings, including six of the top 24, both are the most of any league. Purdue leads the conference at No. 9, followed by No. 13 Illinois, No. 17 Ohio State, No. 19 Iowa, No. 23 Wisconsin, No. 24 Michigan State, No. 35 Michigan, and No. 41 Indiana.

• Big Ten’s 124 games against Quadrant 1 opponents are the most of any conference, and the Big Ten is tied for the most 191 Q1 and Q2 games with 191.

• A national-best eight Big Ten squads are among the top 42 of KenPom’s Feb. 14 ratings. Purdue leads the league at No. 12, followed by No. 15 Illinois, No. 17 Iowa, No. 21 Ohio State, No. 23 Michigan State, No. 35 Michigan, No. 36 Wisconsin, and No. 42 Indiana.

• In Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology, the Big Ten has three teams projected as top three seeds, the most of any conference, and five teams projected as top six seeds, tied for the most among all conferences. Purdue is projected as a No. 1 seed, while Wisconsin (No. 3 seed), Illinois (No. 3 seed), Michigan State (No. 5 seed), and Ohio State (No. 6 seed) all earn top marks. Iowa is projected as a No. 7 seed, and Indiana is projected as a No. 9 seed, giving the Big Ten seven total teams projected in the field, which is tied for the most among all conferences.

• Iowa sophomore forward Keegan Murray and Rutgers senior guard Geo Baker were named Big Ten Co-Players of the Week on Monday. Murray averaged 33.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 assists per game last week, and Baker led Rutgers to consecutive ranked wins and hit the game-winning free throws against No. 16 Ohio State.

• Nebraska guard Bryce McGowens was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday. McGowens averaged 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 0.5 steals last week.
