Crossroads League Announces Women’s Soccer Award Winners
JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League announced its 2021 Women’s Soccer All-League Team on Monday, following No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan’s Crossroads League Tournament Championship win on Saturday over regular season champion and No. 3 Spring Arbor.
Spring Arbor claimed four of the six major awards from around the league, led by Jason Crist being voted the CL Coach of the Year. Madison Marshall was named the CL Offensive Player of the Year, Kenzie Selvius was selected as the CL Midfielder of the Year and Becca Mindling was voted the CL Defensive Player of the Year.
No. 8 Marian’s Erin Oleksak took home the league’s top honor as the Crossroads League Player of the Year for a third-straight year and Jackie Norris of Indiana Wesleyan was voted the CL Newcomer of the Year.
In addition to those major honors, 22 student-athletes were named as Crossroads League First-Team selections, with 20 others taking home Crossroads League Honorable Mention honors.
The All-Crossroads League awards are voted on by the CL’s head women’s soccer coaches.
