Crossroads League Announces Volleyball Award Winners
JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League announced its 2021 Volleyball All-League Team on Tuesday, just days after No. 7 Marian completed its sweep of the regular season and tournament championships.
Marian’s Ashley Pritchard and Riley Anderson were heralded as the Crossroads League Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year, while MU’s Skyler Van Note was voted as the CL’s Player of the Year for a third-straight season.
Taylor and Saint Francis claimed the remaining top honors, with TU’s Kacy Bragg being voted the CL Setter of the Year, TU’s Stephaney Fifield being selected the CL Libero of the Year and USF’s Paige Fortkamp being honored as the CL Freshman of the Year.
In addition to those major honors, 14 student-athletes were named as Crossroads League First-Team selections, 14 more were given CL Second-Team honors and 19 others took home Crossroads League Honorable Mention recognition. A total of six were also chosen as CL All-Freshmen selections.
The All-Crossroads League awards are voted on by the CL’s head volleyball coaches.
