After earning the upset win over No. 16 Roosevelt, the 25th-ranked Saints take two of the three MSFA Midwest League Player of the Week awards on Week 11.

Offensive Player of the Week
Evan Leake, Olivet Nazarene
So., RB, Dix, Ill. (Mount Vernon HS)

  • Rushed for 223 yards on 25 carries in the Tigers’ 27-14 win at Trinity International
  • Scored two rushing TDs in the win over the Trojans
  • Earns his first career MSFA Offensive Player of the Week award

Defensive Player of the Week
Michael Johnson, St. Francis
Jr., DL, Hillside, Ill. (Immaculate Conception HS)

  • Led No. 25 St. Francis with eight tackles in the 19-3 win over No. 16 Roosevelt
  • Had a tackle for loss and two forced fumbles against the Lakers
  • Earns his second MSFA Defensive Player of the Week award this season

Special Teams Player of the Week
Brian Maday, St. Francis
So., K/P, Orland Park, Ill. (Sandburg HS)

  • Scored seven points in the No. 25 Saints’ 19-3 win over No. 16 Roosevelt
  • Converted a pair of field goals and went 1-for-2 on extra points
  • Earns his second MSFA Special Teams Player of the Week honor this season, and the third of his career
