SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Head coach Steve Bruce announced the third addition to the IU South Bend women’s basketball program on Monday, as Jazmen Watts will join the Titans this fall.

Watts comes to South Bend after two seasons at Bethel College (Ind.), where as a sophomore she averaged 10.5 points per game last season. A graduate of South Bend Riley HS, Watts finished as the school’s fourth-leading scorer all-time, with 1,332 career points. As a senior for the Wildcats, Watts averaged 21.8 points per game.

“We are excited to have Jazmen join our program,” said Bruce. ”She is a skilled and athletic perimeter player with a history of being both a scorer and a rebounder. Defensively, she should fit in well with her length, athleticism, and competitive spirit.”

“I am so excited to continue my athletic and academic career at IU South Bend,” added Watts. “I am filled with nothing but gratitude and excitement as I take a leap into this next chapter. Thank you to Coach Bruce and the Titan family for giving me this opportunity.”

IU South Bend comes off a 25-8 record last season, and back-to-back 25-win campaigns. The Titans qualified for their first NAIA Tournament berth since 2005, and returns four of five regular starters from last year.
